Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren

Pippi Longstocking, a nine years old,
Doesn't slump on a sofa like a mould.

Always active and jumpy,
Sometimes so excited, she behaved very bumpy.

She lived by herself with no human company,
But yes! She did have  a horse and a monkey.

Tony and Anika were her only friends,
Playing with them on weekdays and weekends.

Physically strong, she was often misunderstood to be rude,
What could she do she had no elders to guide her from being crude.

In spite of her somewhat rude behavior,
She was helpful and kind to all near and dear.
